Smoked Kahawai & Turmeric Pate
Perfect for a dinner party appetiser.
SERVES: 6 Portions
Ingredients
- 250g smoked kahawai
- 250g unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- zest of 1 lemon, cut into curls
- 2 tsp chopped fresh curly parsley
Method
Break up kahawai, making sure all bones are removed. Place fish in a food processor and process until as fine as you can possibly get it. Add remaining ingredients into the food processor and blend until well combined and smooth.
Place in a serving dish and top with lemon zest curls and parsley.
Serve with crudities, eg. baby carrots, radish wedges and green beans. If on Four Wheels maintenance, you could also use crackers or sourdough bread.
If you are unable to find smoked kahawai, you could substitute with hot-smoked salmon.
